Going Vegetarian

The term "vegetarian" can mean different things, depending upon the types of animal-based foods -- if any -- that are eaten. In the vegan diet, all animal products are avoided; the pollo-vegetarian diet includes chicken; and the semi-vegetarian diet includes meat occasionally. All vegetarian diets emphasize plant-based foods, which are associated with lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, decreased weight and less risk of heart disease and some cancers.
