A Dangerous Mix: Youngsters and Exercise Equipment
Young children often stick their hands or feet into treadmills, stationary bicycles and rowing or stair-climbing machines, which can cause a serious injury. About 25,000 children are injured each year on exercise equipment. If you have one of these machines at home, don't use it when a child is in the room unless someone else is watching the youngster closely.
