Ear Infections Linked to Asthma

Children who have ear infections may be more likely to develop asthma, according to new research. A study in a 2004 issue of Chest looked at more than 7,500 children, their history of ear infections and whether they had asthma. Children who had had ear infections were 57 percent more likely to have developed asthma. The risk for asthma appeared to increase with the number of ear infections.
