A Common Headache
Tension headaches are the most common type of headache, according to the American Medical Association (AMA). The pain occurs at the temples, forehead or back of the head or neck, and may be mild to moderate in intensity. Tension headaches can recur, becoming chronic. Stress, anxiety and depression may trigger a tension headache, the AMA says.
