Settling into Pregnancy
Your pregnancy is now well on its way. Because your body has adjusted, you may feel a little better during this second trimester (weeks 13 to 28). Now is a good time to get questions answered and schedule childbirth classes. The following information can help you know what to expect during this stage of pregnancy.
A Golden Time

For most women, this is called the "golden trimester." You're starting to show. And you're starting to glow. Dress for comfort since your body is changing quickly now. Stick with loose-fitting clothing and low-heeled, cushioned shoes. You might want to treat yourself to some new clothing. Use this time to have fun with your partner, your friends, and your family.
Taking Care of Yourself
Even though you're feeling better, you still need to take care of yourself.
-
Keep scheduled visits with your health care provider. And have any recommended tests. This way, you can be sure you and your baby are healthy.
-
Write a to-do list. Plan events and travel well before or after your due date.
-
Sign up for childbirth classes.
Notes for Your Partner
Your partner needs to adjust to new ways of doing things. Here's how you can help:
-
Listen to her talk about what she's feeling.
-
Offer to cook and shop for food.
-
Plan time alone together.
-
Go to prenatal visits with her.
